And the rest of Epson's reply: Epson does not provide the ink volume in mls for its cartridges because mls do not translate into any usable print information. Mls will not tell you how much printing you can get out of a cartridge. Some things I have found to reduce ink usage include: 1) set default to draft and black ink only (yes, it uses color when printing b&w text), 2) use smooth finish bright white paper, 3) decrease the gamma setting, 4) increase the brightness setting a lot and decrease contrast a little. The ink itself is fine, but the cartridges have a chip that makes them not refillable, and cheap Chinese knockoff cartridges are not coming onto the market as I had hoped they would when I bought the printer.
