This review is from: ASUS (EA-N66) Dual Band N450 Ultra-Fast Wireless 3-In-1 (AP, Repeater, Ethernet Adapter) Adapter With High-Power (Personal Computers) This is the best ethernet adapter on the market. Had a Linksys N dual band adapter trying to bring a home theater to a far away router. It worked but never could maintain a strong signal. Hooked this up even further away from the router and it has nothing but strong, consistent signal. Setup was a breeze to the matching Asus N900 Dark Knight router. If your looking for a much stronger, and frankly, better looking media adapter. Look no further. 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: ASUS (EA-N66) Dual Band N450 Ultra-Fast Wireless 3-In-1 (AP, Repeater, Ethernet Adapter) Adapter With High-Power (Personal Computers) I tried Linksys E4200v2 and Amped Wireless products.Asus outperforms both of these and has a Web interface for setup that is much easier to follow. This product will create a second wireless access point for your home (when connected hardwire). It can transmit at 2.4 or 5.0, but not both at the same time. I pair this with an Asus Black Knight router and now have two separate 5.0 wireless networks in my home - no dead spots. I would recommend this product to anyone. 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful This review is from: ASUS (EA-N66) Dual Band N450 Ultra-Fast Wireless 3-In-1 (AP, Repeater, Ethernet Adapter) Adapter With High-Power (Personal Computers) I have set this device up to connect a switch to my router wireless and have four PCs plugged into the switch. It is connecting via 5ghz band to my ASUS router and works great 1 story and 100+ feet away. The only negative is the July 2012 firmware update, it causes the network map to show the router is not connected, even though it is working. |
